Delco boy takes nap, wakes up in Wilmington

WILMINGTON - Delaware State Police say a 4-year-old Delaware County boy woke up in Wilmington after a road trip in the wrong car.

Early yesterday morning, police responded to a Wilmington business where a woman who had driven from Philadelphia found the boy sleeping in her backseat.

Police said the boy had climbed into a car outside his relatives' house in Southwest Philadelphia because it looked like his mother's car. Police began searching for the boy's family. The boy's mother, meanwhile, filed a missing-person report in Darby Borough.

Police said the boy's mother had dropped him off with relatives who didn't realize he had gone outside. No charges are expected. - AP
