Man surrenders in fatal 2011 hit-and-run

An investigation into a 2011 hit-and-run that left a man dead ended Tuesday with the surrender of a Northeast Philadelphia man.

Robert Sickman, 26, was charged with driving under the influence and accident involving death in the April 2011 accident that killed William McCue, 28, of Port Richmond, police said.

McCue was struck while crossing Richmond Street and died at the scene. The vehicle continued without stopping, fleeing north on Richmond Street. Police found the vehicle the next morning. - Sam Wood
