Motorcycle crash kills two in East Falls

Two people were killed early Saturday when the motorcycle they were riding veered out of control on Roosevelt Boulevard in East Falls, police said.

The wreck, which occurred about 1 a.m. near the Henry Avenue overpass, threw the bike's 59-year-old passenger, Teresa Gibson of South Philadelphia, into the road, police said. She died at the scene.

Willie Singletary, 54, of Yeadon, died at a hospital, police said. - Jeremy Roebuck
