Two rescued after plane lands in Delaware River

A small seaplane carrying two males landed safely Saturday in the Delaware River near Harrah's Casino in Chester, the Coast Guard said.

A small seaplane carrying two males landed safely Saturday in the Delaware River near Harrah's Casino in Chester, the Coast Guard said.

Both occupants were rescued and not seriously injured.

The plane landed upside-down around 11 a.m., a dispatch center in Gloucester County reported. The occupants were on top of the plane when rescue crews arrived.

Once the two were carried to shore, they were taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland. They were being treated for minor injuries and were expected to be released, a hospital spokesman said. - Allison Steele
