What these young people don't realize is how their actions now can affect their entire life. That even one minor infraction can cause them the job that they may want later in life. The girl who kicked the boy in the head doesn't realize that she could just as easily been facing a murder charge. All it takes is one kick in the right spot and with the right force to kill someone.

Wanna stop the problem? Stop subsidizing these thugs' travel to the Center City District by ending the program giving free septa passes to all PSD students. The program should have been ended after Sean Patrick Conroy was murdered by the group of truant thugs traveling the subway on their subsidized transpasses. Stop the program and the thugs will stay in their own neighborhoods.

Wouldn't it be great to see 150 crazy kids trying to start trouble at the gallery only to run in to 500 shoppers armed with tasers. What a beautiful sight.

The problem is when we bring up holding the parents accountable, it just isn't realistic in the case of most of the black youths involved. Their fathers are most likely already in prison, and the mothers are probably strung out on drugs somewhere.

It's sad when I speak to other military retiree's my age (49) what the home town looks like from the outside. San Antonio may have it's problems like most large cities. But nothing like this. With the age of the internet and information at your finger tips, you can not "hide" your social and civic problems. With that said, had planned a visit with friends from here this summer. After reading this they have backed off and now understand why I did not return to my birth place.......

Threatening to sue Facebook is asinine. First of all, Facebook has no liability. Second, it was reported that the first flash mob originated on Ourspace. From their website, "OurSpace.com is an online social location that provides African Americans a superior way to connect with others whom share similar experiences and perspectives." If we're going to pick a bad guy, lets at least pick the right culprit.
