An Upper Darby church will hold a vigil Sunday night for three schoolboys who remain hospitalized after being struck by a motorist last week.
A service is set for 6 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church on Walnut Street for the Beverly Hills Middle School students. Philmon Beyene, 12, who had been placed in a medically-induced coma, was making “great progress” at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, police superintendent Michael Chitwood said todayFRI. “He’s moving his eyes and his vital signs are stronger.” Jemel Brunswick, 13, who also had been in critical condition was “up, alert, talking, and eating solid food,” Chitwood said. Tyler Lowery, 12, was “doing well” and in stable condition.
A 42-year-old Lansdowne woman, Dawn Denise Snell, remained jailed last night on $1 million bail in connection with the crash Tuesday afternoon on Marshall Road.
