Reilly to lead Delaware County Republicans

Delaware County Republicans elected a new party leader last night for the first time in 34 years. Andrew Reilly replaced Thomas J. Judge Sr. and will serve out the remainder of Judge's term until June 2012.

Reilly, 47, a Middletown lawyer, served on the County Council from 2000 to 2008 and as chairman in the last two years of his second term. He heads the Middletown Republican Party and has been the Republican leader for the 168th Legislative District since 1997. He was campaign manager for the county in 2007 and 2009.

Judge, 80, of Darby Township, had led the party since 1975. - Joelle Farrell
