Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel has had another run-in with the law.

Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel has had another run-in with the law.

A municipal court judge in Burlington County yesterday issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant. Judge Gregory McCloskey issued the warrant after he failed to appear on a drug-possession charge, according to Carol Beismann, deputy administrator for the court shared by Chesterfield, North Hanover, and Wrightstown.

The 35-year-old South Philadelphia native was arrested last month for marijuana possession following a traffic stop in Wrightstown, on his way to a performance at the borough's Kelly's Bar, according to published reports.

In recent years, Sigel has been to prison on charges related to weapons, parole violations, and failure to make child-support payments. In 2007, prosecutors dropped charges against the rapper for keeping a rental car nearly two months past its due date, after someone else returned the car. - Maya Rao
