Nonprofits will join Nutter to mark 9/11

To mark 9/11, about 80 nonprofit organizations, along with Mayor Nutter, will take part today in the PhillyServes Day Volunteer Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the courtyard at City Hall.

The event, part of the National Day of Remembrance and Service in memory of the 2001 terrorist attacks, will offer volunteer opportunities throughout the city. Representatives of nonprofit groups will be there to sign up people for volunteer projects throughout the year.
