Final 2 implicated in '06 Coatesville slaying charged

Charges were filed yesterday against the final two men implicated in a 2006 Coatesville homicide, Chester County authorities said.

Police said Shamone F. Woods, 27, of Coatesville, and Duron Peoples, 32, of Downingtown, both of whom are in custody on unrelated charges, participated in the Oct. 21, 2006, slaying of Jonas L. Suber, 33, of Coatesville, who was shot eight times when he answered a knock at his door on Walnut Street.

Woods and Peoples will be arraigned within the next couple of days, police said; a preliminary hearing date has not yet been set. The other two defendants - Eric Coxry, 31, and Jeremiah Bush, 22, both of Philadelphia - have been in custody since March and are awaiting trial. - Kathleen Brady Shea
