Philadelphia's High School Expo begins Sept. 26

The Philadelphia School District will hold its annual High School Expo for prospective students and their families from Sept. 26 to 28 at Temple University's Liacouras Center.

More than 60 high schools and charter high schools will provide information about their programs. Although the event is open to anyone, it is geared primarily toward families of students who will be entering high school in 2009 and 2010.

The fair will be open Sept. 26 from 3 to 8 p.m.; Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Liacouras Center is at Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue. The event drew 5,000 people last year. - Martha Woodall
