Man's body found in Delaware River in Phila.

The body of a man in his 40s was pulled from the Delaware River in the city's Wissinoming section yesterday, Philadelphia police said.

Marine Unit personnel responding to a call recovered the body, which showed no signs of trauma, behind a Dietz & Watson Inc. meat-processing plant at 5701 Tacony St., Public Affairs Officer Jillian Russell said.

The man's identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin, Russell said.

An autopsy will be conducted today, the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office said. - Bonnie L. Cook
