Gator found in Atlantic City motel pool

A 3-foot-long alligator was found Tuesday morning in a half-filled Atlantic City motel pool.

Law enforcement officials discovered the reptile during a drug raid at the Bayview Inn & Suites.

Atlantic City police welcomed the usually unwelcome guest on their Twitter account Tuesday morning.

Animal control was called, and the Press of Atlantic City's John DeRosier was there when the gator was captured without incident.

The alligator was taken to the Cape May County Zoo, where it is more likely to feel at home.
