A letter that seeks donations for a special education department at Camden Catholic High School is fake, school officials say.
The letter, which the school became aware of Friday, asks people to help cover travel expenses for a field trip to an unnamed "job association" and says students will learn how to become employees there.
The document is signed by three people — none of whom work at the school.
The letter has circulated around Pennsauken, according to school officials. Police in Cherry Hill, where the school is based, are investigating.
