A U.S. airman living in Pemberton Township, N.J. was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly possessing child pornography, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office announced Friday.

Matthew Cavada, 29, of the 100 block of Ursinus Court, is charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of children.

Cavada, a U.S. Air Force technical sergeant stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, allegedly used a file-sharing service to make child pornography videos on his personal computer available for others to download.

Many of the videos were extremely graphic and portrayed prepubescent girls engaging in sexual acts with adult males, prosecutors said.

A search warrant was executed at Cavada's home Thursday, and he was taken into custody without incident. He appeared Friday afternoon in Superior Court and was imprisoned in Burlington County Jail on $125,000 bail.

Cavada's case will be referred to a grand jury for indictment, prosecutors said.
