2 charged with killing, robbing South Jersey man

Two South Jersey men have been arrested in the slaying earlier this year of a Gloucester County man, authorities said Tuesday
Michael A. Fazzio, 57, of Elk Township, had been found dead in his Buck Road home by a family member on March 13. An autopsy determined his cause of death to be "mechanical and positional asphyxia," or a deprivation of oxygen to his body, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said.
Thomas Bergholz, 33, of Franklinville, was arrested Monday night at a homeless shelter in Camden, and Lawrance Bohrer, 47, of Pittsgrove, was arrested in Philadelphia at a relative's home about the same time, according to authorities.
Prosecutors believe that around March 10, Bergholz and Bohrer bound Fazzio's hands and feet during a robbery in his home and robbed him of his ATM card and cash. They said both men were acquaintances of the victim, but did not elaborate.
Both suspects have been charged with murder, robbery, and criminal restraint. Bergholz is in custody at the Salem County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing. Bohrer is being held in Philadelphia pending an extradition hearing.
