Rowan student reports sex assault in N.J.

Police in Glassboro, N.J. are seeking more information about a sexual assault reported Monday night by a Rowan University graduate student.

Police said the victim told investigators that, around 9 p.m., she pulled over to the side of the road along Rt. 322, possibly near the Hidden Creek development, and exited her vehicle to rearrange her belongings.

When she stepped out of the car, two men allegedly grabbed her, pulled her in front of her vehicle and assaulted her.

The victim described the suspects as two white males, one in his 40s and the second in his 20s. She said both men were wearing all-black clothing and had masks or scarves covering their faces.

The victim didn't see a vehicle associated with the men and was unsure of where they came from or in what direction they fled, according to investigators.

Anyone who observed a dark-colored vehicle on the west side of the road near Hidden Creek or saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact Inv. Julie Howery at 856-881-1501, ext. 88167.
