Police plan DUI checkpoint outside country concert in N.J.

New Jersey state troopers have announced plans to set up a sobriety checkpoint Sunday night outside a country music concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel Township.

New Jersey state troopers have announced plans to set up a sobriety checkpoint Sunday night outside a country music concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel Township.

Starting at 8 p.m., troopers will stop vehicles leaving the center and entering Garden State Parkway south to check for signs of drug or alcohol impairment, according to a news release issued by state police.

Country singer Luke Bryan is slated to bring his "That's My Kind of Night" tour to the Arts Center beginning at 7 p.m., Ticketmaster's website states.

Police are urging show-goers to designate a driver if they plan to drink, rather than taking the risk of getting behind the wheel. "It's not worth getting arrested, hurting yourself, or hurting someone you love," investigators said in the release. "Plan ahead and enjoy the concert safely."
