N.J. Transit light rail service in Delran disrupted after crash

Service on part of New Jersey Transit's River Line was disrupted this morning after a light rail train was involved in a crash with two vehicles.

The incident happened about 8 a.m. near the Main Street railroad crossing in Delran, N.J. Transit spokesman John Durso Jr. said.

Service was suspended between Riverton and Cinnaminson for nearly two hours while authorities investigated.

No passengers on the southbound train were injured, while people in the vehicles suffered minor injuries, Durso said.

    Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
