Man dies after being ejected from car in Glouco crash

A man has died after being ejected from his vehicle in a Gloucester County traffic crash.

Monroe Township police said the accident happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday, when 27-year-old Isaiah Burnett lost control of his Honda Civic on Janvier Road near Jones Kane Road.

Burnett swerved onto the shoulder, then back onto the roadway, across oncoming traffic, and off the other side of the road.

The vehicle then struck a wooden mailbox post, a utility pole, and two trees, ejecting Burnett from the vehicle, police said.

Burnett, of Williamstown, was taken to Kennedy Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one else was in the car at the time.

Police said this morning that the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
