Cops investigating 2 Camden homicides

Authorities are investigating the apparently unrelated slayings of two men in Camden.

Both killings happened Tuesday night and officials identified the victims this afternoon.

The first homicide happened at about 7 p.m., when 19-year-old Sherron Coleman was found in the street on the 1200 block of Octagon Road.

He had been shot multiple times, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.

Anibal Torres was found suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the driver's seat of a Honda Accord at 27th Street and Arthur Avenue at about 10 p.m.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:24 p.m.

The slayings are not thought to be related, prosecutors said. No one has been arrested in either case.

Anyone with information about Coleman's death can call the prosecutor's office at 856-225-8653 or police at 856-757-7420. Tipsters with information about Torres' death are asked to call the prosecutor's office at 856-225-8682 or police at 856-757-7420.
