A 12-year-old is one of three juveniles accused of robbing another child at knifepoint Saturday afternoon in Camden County.

Police said the incident happened around 2 p.m. in Pine Hill. The victim, a 12-year-old boy, told investigators that three juvenile males stopped him as he walked past a convenience store on the 800 block of Turnersville Road.

One of the assailants allegedly held a knife to the boy's chest, forcing him to hand over his cell phone. All three suspects then ran from the scene, police said.

Officers with the Pine Hill Borough Police Department were able to identify the alleged attackers – ages 12, 15, and 16 – and later arrested them at the Deptford Mall, police said. Their names were not released.

The cell phone stolen during the incident was found destroyed and discarded in several trash cans in the Deptford Mall, according to investigators.

The 12-year-old and 16-year-old are each charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, police said. The 15-year-old, who allegedly wielded the knife, faces additional charges of armed robbery and weapons offenses.
