Anyla Moore Gallery: Baby missing from Gloucester Twp. day care found by cops

A one-year-old girl who went missing from a Gloucester Township, N.J., child care center Wednesday afternoon has been found, police said at 11 p.m.

Anyla Moore, of Pine Hill, was picked up by her biological father, Angelo W. Davis Jr., 22, police said, and neither were seen since about 4:30 p.m. But police said late last night that Anyla was located and thanked the public for their help.

The incident began when Anyla’s mother arrived at Kinder Care on Broadacres Drive and was told that her baby's father had already picked up the child, police said. Davis doesn’t have custody of the baby.

Terrible. Paying someone not to watch your child. Great.

The dad should have told the mother. He's wrong for that.

50 years ago, before the welfare nanny state, the father would have been in the right. The government wants broken families.

@Liberty- Do you know the circumstances as to why the dad doesn't have custody? If so, let us know. Otherwise, I'll assume the courts viewed him as unfit to have custody for a reason.

I know this guy was wrong in what he did and he should go to prison for kidnapping. I am seeing a trend here on philly.com. When there is a negative and even some positive articles about African Americans, there are cowards who post racist comments calling the perpetrator various racially charged names or comments. It is so sickening that you have racist cowards who hide behind a keyboard and spew hatred. I see no comments regarding the animal who took her daughter to school and made her fight another student. Much worse, she threatened other students with violence if they intervened. Had she been African American, the article would have been saturated with negativity and derogatory comments about African Americans. No, we are no where near perfect but there are many African Americans who are educated and productive members of society. No one race is better than another so I really wish people would keep those type of comments to themselves.

@jeffrn -- You read into things the way YOU want to read into things, in order to suit your agenda.

White people are the first ones to castigate their fellow whites on here when they are involved in criminal behavior. You rarely see blacks do the same when other blacks commit crimes (which happens way more frequently -- check out the statistics if you don't believe me).

You (and other blacks) would be better served spending your time worrying about cleaning up the myriad of problems your community faces (Most of you which caused and are responsible for).

You're also not smart enough to realize that you're a hypocrite. You are quoted as calling that Delco woman an "animal", when obviously you're offended when commenters use that same reference to describe low life black behavior. You can't have it both ways.

@jeffrn: I think the trend on Philly.Com that assaults my reading eyes every morning and evening is the constant parade of stories of one vicious crime after another, with the usual suspects photos..... My friend, I only speak for myself, it's not "racist", it's being real, speaking the truth. Something that people in denial refuse to do. There is no going forward into a future with hope and promise until the ills of our urban society and American society as a whole, are acknowledged and dealt with in a responsible manner. Your whining about hiding behind keyboards and then proceeding to do what you preach against regarding a Caucasian mom's recent misdeeds sounds rather hypocritical of you, no?

One individual may be fairer than the other or may have good reason for a specific comment.

However, there is no question in my mind that there are a number of very racist comments on Philly.com on a regular basis. It will be nice if people kept their comments specific to the case or the article and do not rpeat derogatory comments about one group or another!

It should not make a difference but I have white skin! Does that make my comment have more weight, no! Next, yes, I do have views that range from moderate to liberal, i.e., I am not conservative, if you mean conservative in the sense of insulting every group other than your own!!

I had custody of my son, my sister had custody of her daughter....the dads didn't do anything wrong at all, they just didn't live with us. It's not fair to judge over the word custody right off the bat.
Was he on the school's list? If so the only thing he did wrong was not tell the mother he was picking her up.

black people are not responsible for each other's behavior any more than white people are responsible for each other's behavior. within families, sure, there is accountability. otherwise, it makes no sense to be concerned with whether or not white or black people comment on the behavior of strangers that simply happen to share the same race. it would make no difference, anyway, if some random internet reader castigated some random criminal in the comments section of a news story online. the lack of logic here is astounding - it's as racist as the idea that all people from fill-in-the-minority-here know each other.
