Bulldozer flips, kills N.J. worker

A heavy-equipment operator was killed Tuesday when a bulldozer he was attempting to drive onto a trailer overturned and pinned him under the roof in Lakewood, Ocean County, officials said.

The operator, Angel Martinez, 67, of Lakewood, was pronounced dead at the scene 15 minutes after the first 911 calls were received around 9:45 a.m.

Officials said Martinez, employed by N.J. Advanced Construction L.L.C. of Lakewood, was attempting to drive the bulldozer onto a trailer at a storage yard when it flipped, trapping the worker under the right side of the vehicle's roof.
