Teen to be tried as adult in S. Jersey shooting death

A Camden County teenager was ordered Friday to stand trial as an adult in the shooting death of another teen last year in Atlantic County, prosecutors said.

Isaiah J. Newsome, 18, of Sicklerville, is charged with murder and related offenses in the Aug. 7, 2015, fatal shooting in Pleasantville of a 17-year-old boy whose given name was Dr. Steven Davion Garrett.

If convicted of murder, Newsome would face 30 years to life in prison.
