N. Wildwood man arrested over mass shooting threat on Facebook

A 20-year-old Cape May County man was arrested Friday for posting threats about a mass shooting on Facebook, prosecutors said.

A 20-year-old Cape May County man was arrested Friday for posting threats about a mass shooting on Facebook, prosecutors said.

Jake M. Freeman, of the 1100 block of Hoffman Canal in North Wildwood, was charged with false public alarm, and bail was set at $25,000.

Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor said that his office will use the fullest extent of the law to prosecute people making threats on social media.
