Man, 26, fatally shot in Camden

A 26-year-old Camden man was fatally shot overnight in the city, authorities said. Officers who responded about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a shooting on the 800 block of Walnut Street found the victim, Jahquae Walker, suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release.

Officers who responded about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a shooting on the 800 block of Walnut Street found the victim, Jahquae Walker, suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release.

Walker was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 4 a.m.

Public records show Walker lived on that block of Walnut Street, but his address could not be confirmed.
