Paulsboro man wanted in April shooting is arrested

A Paulsboro man wanted in connection with the shooting of another man in April was arrested Thursday in Deptford Township, police said. Ryan K. Williams, 37, had been wanted on charges of attempted murder and robbery, authorities said. He was arrested without incident.

Williams robbed and shot a man in the chest in Paulsboro on April 22, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said. The victim had his cash, cellphone and watch taken, and remained hospitalized as of Thursday, the prosecutor's office said.

Williams was taken to Inspira Hospital for having chest pains after his arrest, but will be taken eventually to the Salem County Jail, authorities said. His bail was set at $750,000.
