A judge in Gloucester County has sentenced a Millville man to six years in state prison on charges stemming from a police chase and from his relationship with a teenage girl.

Robert A. DeCamp III, 25, pleaded guilty in May to charges of eluding police and child endangerment, the county prosecutor's office said.

The office gave the following account:

The girl's father reported the relationship to police; the girl had given birth to DeCamp's child. When police attempted to serve a warrant on DeCamp in November 2013, he tried to elude them, but his pickup truck eventually crashed on Delsea Drive.

DeCamp has been jailed since his arrest and will receive credit for time served.

Superior Court Judge M. Christine Allen-Jackson said that given the consensual relationship, DeCamp would not be treated as a violent offender.

When released, will be subject to Megan's Law requirements for sex offenders and will be under parole supervision for at least 15 years.
