1 dead, 5 hospitalized in apparent Camden County heroin overdoses

One person died and five others were hospitalized from apparent heroin overdoses Wednesday in Camden County, authorities said. Five overdoses were reported between 7:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., and a sixth shortly after 2:40 p.m., authorities said. All the victims were taken to Cooper University Hospital.

The fatality was a 39-year-old man whose last known address was in Lawnside. The other victims were a 23-year-old woman from Bordentown, a 45-year-old woman from Lawnside, a 47-year-old man from Camden, a 43-year-old woman from National Park, and a 29-year-old man whose address was unknown.
