The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a fishing boat that was sinking off the New Jersey Shore over the weekend.

The Coast Guard said the boat began taking in water Sunday afternoon, when it was about 20 miles east of Manasquan Inlet.

A Coast Guard helicopter and boat responded to assist the fishing vessel Navigator crew.

The Coast Guard placed two pumps on the boat to control the flooding, officials said, and escorted the vessel to safety in Point Pleasant.

No one was injured.
