Camden man guilty in slaying of boy, 6
Osvaldo Rivera, 33, was found guilty of murder, attempted murder, aggravated sexual assault and related offenses in the 2012 attack, according to a statement from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Rivera entered a house on Ware Street near Van Buren in Camden about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 12, 2012, and sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl living there, slashing her multiple times in the throat with a knife, according to the statement. When her brother, Dominick Andujar, tried to save his sister, Rivera fatally stabbed the boy.
Rivera will be sentenced Oct. 23. The Prosecutor's Office will recommend life in prison for him, according to the statement.
