Arrest made in death of S. Jersey house-sitter
A South Jersey man has been arrested and charged with the murder of 54-year-old Kathleen Korbel, who was shot to death last month inside a Gloucester Township home she was watching while the owner was away.
The owner's son, Timothy Donnelly, 46, of Elk Township, was arrested Saturday in connection with Korbel's Sept. 20 death, and also charged with robbery for allegedly stealing her prescription medication, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. Donnelly is accused of shooting Korbel multiple times.
She was found by a friend about 5 p.m. Sept. 20 inside the single-family Sicklerville house where Donnelly's mother lived, prosecutors said. That woman, whose identity was not immediately known, had no involvement in the killing, prosecutors said.
