Recount affirms Pennsauken school board election

A recount yesterday in the Pennsauken school board race did not alter the result by a single vote, according to the Camden County Board of Elections.

Incumbent Bernhard Kofoet, who placed third, won a three-year term with 793 votes, nine more than challenger Kathy Andrews-Williams. Dung Nguyen and Jaye Silver won the other two seats.

Machine ballots, absentee ballots, and provisional ballots were recounted.

Andrews-Williams has the option to contest the recount in state Superior Court. - Matt Katz
