Burlco man indicted in teen assault, soliciting sex

A Burlington County man was indicted yesterday on charges of sexually assaulting a teenage girl and soliciting sex from another.

David Jones, 43, of Eastampton, is charged with three counts of sexual assault, five counts of prostitution with a minor and six counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The girls were between 13 and 16 years old.

Jones, who works as a handyman and runs a cleaning service, met one of the girls through his work, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. Investigators said he had sex with one of the girls in exchange for compensation, and that he solicited the other girl for sex as well.

Jones was arrested after one of the girls told a relative about him. Jones is free on bail, and he will be arraigned in Superior Court.
