GOP luminaries and presidential hopefuls reiterated support for Israel and skepticism about a proposed nuclear deal with Iran as members of the Republican Jewish Coalition gathered Saturday at the casino of mega-donor Sheldon Adelson.
Two Texans - Sen. Ted Cruz and former Gov. Rick Perry - spoke to the organization, which boasts of growing membership because of concern about the Obama administration's relations with Israel.
Coalition chair David Flaum began the morning meeting - the only public portion of the four-day gathering - calling on President Obama to "negotiate a better deal." Cruz vowed to do all he could in the Senate to nix the nuclear deal. Perry also called for scrapping the agreement. - AP
