1 lottery ticket wins $133 million

This week won't have a gigundo jackpot - as major lotteries go - because a California ticket hit the $133 million top prize in Mega Millions on Friday night.

The winner was purchased at Bottle Liquor in Morro Bay, an ocean town near San Luis Obispo. The ticket matched the first five numbers - 4, 10, 26, 32 and 41, as well as the Mega Ball of 31. Another California ticket won about $500,000, under its parimutuel system, for matching the first five, but not the Mega Ball. Tickets in five other states - Maryland, New Hampshire, Ohio, Arizona and Washington - each won $250,000, the regular second-place prize in most states.

Tomorrow's jackpot rolls back to $12 million.

Wednesday's Powerball jackpot will be worth an estimated $34 million for the annuity, $19.2 million in cash, because no one hit all the numbers drawn Saturday night.

Only one ticket, purchased in Nevada, won $200,000 for matching the first five numbers - 4, 22, 27, 32 and 56. The Powerball was 13.

Powerball and Mega Millions are both played in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, as well as dozens of other states.
