The dead man, who was in his late 20s, had a confrontation with a younger man near Frankford Avenue and Monmouth Street around 8:30 p.m., police said. The older man was shot in the neck and back. The younger man was shot in the chest and was taken to Temple University Hospital, police said. - Marie McCullough
