Driver crashes into Montco creek

Officials rescued a driver early Tuesday morning after his car went off the road and into a creek in Lower Merion.

Officials rescued a driver early Tuesday morning after his car went off the road and into a creek in Lower Merion.

The driver was traveling east on Grays Lane and lost control of his vehicle, police said. The car landed in a creek.

Responders arrived at 4:30 a.m. to remove the driver from the vehicle. Lower Merion Police Sgt. Bob Ruggiero said it was not immediately clear how long the driver had been in the creek before he was rescued.

The driver, whose name was not released, was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries, police said.

The accident remains under investigation.
