1 killed in Route 130 crash in Burlco

A Clementon man was killed and another man was injured in an overnight crash on Route 130 in Burlington County that split their vehicle in half.

A Clementon man was killed and another man was injured in an overnight crash on Route 130 in Burlington County that split their vehicle in half.

The crash happened just after 1:45 a.m. Wednesday near Beverly Road in Burlington Township, dispatchers said.

The victims' car was traveling north at high speed when it struck the grass median and then swerved back across the roadway and into a telephone pole, Burlington Township police said.

Nathaniel Gray, 22, of Clementon, was pronounced dead at the scene. Rashon Casey, 37, of Burlington City, was hospitalized with head, facial, and rib injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. No other vehicles were involved. Police could not say which man was driving or whether alcohol was a factor.

Northbound lanes near the crash site were closed for several hours while emergency crews responded.
