Man's fingers cut off in stabbing

Details are sketchy, but police said the double stabbing occurred about 6:30 a.m. on the 1200 block of Daly street.

A 58-year-old man was taken by medics to Jefferson University Hospital with stab wounds to both hands and his left leg, police said. His condition has not yet been reported.

A 74-year-old man in the meantime walked into Methodist Hospital with two or three fingers completely cut off, police said. He was reported in critical condition.

One of the men was taken into custody, but it was not immediately clear which one.
