An 8-year-old girl was hospitalized with cuts from stray glass Saturday after a bullet shattered the window of a car in which she was riding, police said.

An 8-year-old girl was hospitalized with cuts from stray glass Saturday after a bullet shattered the window of a car in which she was riding, police said.

No one in the vehicle was shot when the bullet struck the car just after 9:30 p.m. on the 5400 block of Haverford Avenue in West Philadelphia.

The child was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with minor injuries. - Jeremy Roebuck
