Delco police ID burglar who fled on SEPTA train

Police have identified the man they said burglarized a Radnor Township home and made a quick getaway on the Norristown High Speed Line.

Police have identified the man they said burglarized a Radnor Township home and made a quick getaway on the Norristown High Speed Line.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Matthew Heckman, 27, of Upper Darby Township. He was not in custody late Friday and has been charged with burglary, theft and related crimes.

According to police, Heckman broke into a home on Hawthorne Road around 11 a.m. April 17 and was interrupted when the resident returned. He fled with a suitcase containing some of the owner's belongings, removed his coat and hat to change his appearance, and boarded a SEPTA train headed toward 69th Street.

Police ask anyone with information on Heckman's whereabouts to call 9-1-1.
