Police: Elderly Chesco man killed wife, self

An ailing elderly man fatally shot his wife, who had dementia, in their Uwchlan Township home and then fatally shot himself, police said Thursday.

Russell Wisler, 79, had been suffering from severe health issues after surviving a bout with cancer. His wife, Roxanne Wisler, was 77.

The couple's son, who regularly stopped by his parents' house on the 400 block of Berkley Road, found them dead Wednesday morning.

Uwchlan Township police responded about 9:40 a.m. Wednesday. Both had died instantly, police said.

Investigators did not find any suicide notes. The couple had no history of domestic problems, police said.
