The FBI is searching for two men suspected in separate strings of recent bank hold-ups in the Philadelphia.

A cash reward is being offered for information that leads to the apprehension of 40-year-old Rashon Mitchell, who is wanted in the robberies of at least four banks since late February, including three heists in the last week, the FBI said.

Mitchell has been charged in the Feb. 28 robbery of a Republic Bank branch at 1601 Market St.

He is also suspected in three other heists, the FBI said: A Thursday robbery at the TD Bank at 3735 Walnut St. and two TD Bank hold-ups on Friday, at the branches at 4020 City Ave. in Philadelphia and 969 Baltimore Pike in Springfield, Delaware County.

Charging documents filed in federal court in Philadelphia in connection with the February heist say Mitchell was identified as a suspect after a confidential informant, Mitchell's boss at a North Philadelphia deli and his former probation officer recognized him after surveillance footage was distributed from the crime.

Mitchell previously pleaded guilty and served time for robbing seven Philadelphia banks in September and October 2009, court records show.

He is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 215 pounds.

The FBI is also trying to identify a man who robbed two Philadelphia banks in the past week.

The first heist took place at the TD Bank branch at 6635 Frankford Ave. on Saturday. The second happened at the Citizens Bank at 7327 Frankford Ave. on Monday, the FBI said.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-30s, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall and having a medium build. He has reddish facial hair and wore a black baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses in both robberies.

A reward is being offered for information that leads to his capture.

Authorities said both men are considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about either suspect should call the FBI at 215-418-4000. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
