Enrollment sessions set for medical information program

WEST CHESTER State Sen. Andy Dinniman (D., Chester) will hold three more sessions this month to help residents enroll in a state program that alerts first responders at a traffic accident about their specific medical needs.

The Yellow Dot program was created to help victims of traffic accidents who might not be able to talk to first responders. Participants in the program place a yellow dot in their vehicle's rear window to let first responders know vital medical information is in the glove compartment.

Starting Tuesday, Dinniman will hold sessions in West Chester, West Grove, and Phoenixville. Those interested can also sign up at http://www.yellowdot.pa.gov/.

"Participation in the Yellow Dot Program could mean the difference between life and death or serious medical injury," Dinniman said.

Here are Dinniman's scheduled sessions in Chester County:

Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the Mary Taylor House, 326 N. Walnut St., West Chester.

Wednesday, 10 a.m., at West Grove Presbyterian Church, 139 W. Evergreen St.

March 18, 9:30 a.m., at the Phoenixville Area Senior Center, 153 Church St.
