Two found dead at Pleasantville hotel

Two individuals were pronounced dead Saturday at the Best Western Hotel in Pleasantville, Capt. Sean Riggin of the Pleasantville Police Department said. Officials did not release the identifies, cause of death, gender or age of the individuals as they were notifying family, police said.

Pleasantville police officers and investigators at the major crimes unit at the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office are looking into the deaths.

Paramedics were called to the hotel on the 700 block of Black Horse Pike at 3:47 p.m. to check on an unresponsive person. Police, also summoned to the hotel, found a second unresponsive individual, Pleasantville police said. The individuals were pronounced dead by officials with the Southern Regional Medical Examiner Office. - Bob Fernandez
