THIS GUY is going to give attorneys a bad name.

A Philadelphia man who was at the Delaware County Courthouse to face charges of aggravated assault last year conned another defendant's girlfriend into believing he was an attorney and ran off with $1,300 of her money, according to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office.

Kyle Arnold, 42, of Old York Road near Champlost Avenue, has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property for the March 31st incident.

According to prosecutors, the female victim was at the courthouse for her boyfriend's case and while there met Arnold, who told her he was a lawyer and that he'd represent her beau.

The victim then accompanied Arnold on a trolley to Philadelphia, believing she was heading to his law office. However, the two went to the Municipal Services building at 15th Street and JFK Boulevard, where the victim gave Arnold $1,300 to take her boyfriend's case, police said.

Arnold told the woman he had to go to his office and he'd be back shortly, but he never returned and the victim's calls and texts to his phone went unanswered, according to prosecutors.

Once the victim reported the theft to police, officers were able to determine that Arnold was indeed at the Delaware County Courthouse on March 31, but he was there as a defendant to face aggravated assault charges for an August 2013 incident in Chester, prosecutors said.

Arnold was arraigned Wednesday and sent to the Delaware County Prison, after he failed to post 10 percent of his $100,000 bail.
