Assistance offered for health-care enrollment

POTTSTOWN The county is partnering with Enroll America and the Pennsylvania Health Access Network to help people understand the Affordable Care Act enrollment process.

Enrollment assistance will be available at the Pottstown Community Connections Office, 364 King St., on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Appointments are encouraged by signing into the Get Covered Connector at https://www.getcoveredamerica.org/Connector/ and entering your zip code or by calling the Pennsylvania Health Access Network's help line at 1-877-570-3642.

The deadline to enroll in health insurance coverage through the Marketplace is Sunday. Those who choose not to sign up before Sunday may be faced with a fine of $325 or 2 percent of annual income, whichever is higher, on next year's tax return. - Inquirer staff
