Man, 64, arrested; girlfriend shot dead
A 64-year-old man was arrested in the shooting death of his 36-year-old girlfriend in Eastwick, Philadelphia police said Thursday. David Witherspoon was arrested at his home on the 2600 block of Muhlfeld Street after police arrived there around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, responding to a report of a shooting.

Witherspoon let the officers inside, where they found Keisha Northington with a gunshot wound to her mouth. She was pronounced dead at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania an hour later.
Police said the motive was a domestic dispute. Witherspoon was taken into custody at the scene and did not resist arrest, they said.
